DOT Paratransit

The “DOT” program, as it is known, serves the mobility-impaired residents of Alexandria who are unable to use public transportation. Both taxi and van transportation are available, and there is no age limit.

To qualify, applicants must request application-documents from the City of Alexandria – Citizens Assistance Office. Once approved, applicants can contact “DOT” to make a reservation.

DOT reservationists are available through Senior Services offices
Sunday through Saturday (7 days per week) from 8:30am to 4:30 pm.

Travel within Alexandria and all of Fairfax County is included.
(After-hours reservation service is also available.)

Medical appointments     Theatre    Libraries    Grocery store
